Tanzania mountains vary in height, location, climate, etc. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, attracts many mountaineers from all over the world every year. Also popular are Mount Meru (4566m.) and Ol Donyo Lengai (Active Volcano). Other mountains in Tanzania are the Hanang (3417m.), Longido (2629m.), Usambara mountains, Lemagrut, Lolmalasin, Oldean and Uluguru mountains.
Kilimanjaro is a pretty tricky climb you know, most of it’s up until you reach the very very top, and then it tends to slope away rather sharply.
At 5,895 meters, it is the highest mountain in Africa – Kilimanjaro. That makes it an avid climber’s absolute dream destination.
Mount Meru is the 5th highest mountain on the African continent found within Arusha National Park. The mountain is often used for acclimatization climb in preparation for the Kilimanjaro.
