Lemosho Route 7 Days – Hortensia Adventures

Lemosho Route 7 Days

Overview

Although it is possible to climb the Kilimanjaro all year round, timing is a factor in your chances for a successful summit. There are two optimal climbing periods, both coinciding with the dry season months of June to October and January to February. At other times of the year, seasonal rains can make the trails slippery and challenging. January and February are generally warmer than the winter months of June to October (although the temperature differences near the equator are minimal). Regardless of the season you decide to climb, you should definitely bring cold weather gear as the top of the mountain is covered with ice over and over. These rules also apply to Mount Meru, which is located in the same area as Mount Kilimanjaro.
